About Us

Origin and History

Our Lord the Saviour Covenant Church (OLSCC) has a rich history deeply rooted in the work of faith and the divine mandate to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The church was founded in 1965 by Most Rev. Wilfred John Nworisa Nwaka (of blessed memory) as a branch of Christ Healing Sabbath Mission. Guided by the Holy Spirit, the church evolved and, in 1975, became known as Our Lord Sabbath Mission, marking a significant phase in its spiritual journey.

Following the translation of Most Rev. Wilfred John Nworisa Nwaka in 2005, Rev. Chigozie Samuel Nwaka, PhD, was installed as the General Overseer under Divine direction. Since then, he has led the church through Bible-based innovations and transformation, ensuring its continued growth and relevance in fulfilling the Great Commission. With a vision to expand the Kingdom of God across nations, Rev. Chigozie Samuel Nwaka has repositioned OLSCC for global evangelism and deeper spiritual impact.

In 2022, the church transitioned from Our Lord’s Sabbath Mission to Our Lord the Saviour Covenant Church, a name that reflects its commitment to covenant faithfulness and the redemptive mission of Jesus Christ.

As OLSCC marks its Diamond Jubilee in 2025, the church celebrates 60 years of divine grace, spiritual growth, and global expansion. With branches across nations and a steadfast commitment to its founding vision, OLSCC continues to be a light in the world, “defining God’s purpose for His people and proclaiming the Gospel to all nations.”

Administration and Leadership Structure

Our Lord the Saviour Covenant Church (OLSCC) operates under a well-structured administrative system to ensure effective governance and the fulfillment of its divine mandate.

At the helm of leadership is the General Overseer and President, who also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT). The BOT oversees the church’s overall vision and mission, providing spiritual and administrative direction.

Under the BOT, the church is structured into key directorates, including:

  • Administration
  • Finance
  • Pastoral Affairs
  • Mission and Evangelism
  • Protocol

To ensure smooth operations and grassroots engagement, the church is further organized into Provincial, Zonal, District, Parish, and Fellowship Centre Administrations.

Additionally, various groups and ministry wings are encouraged within the church to foster active participation, spiritual growth, and alignment with the church’s vision. These groups operate under the overall supervision of church leadership to advance the kingdom mandate.
